Love Green Nepal and Nepal Water Supply Corporation, Pokhara Branch jointly organized a Tree Plantation Program on the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day 2023 on June 05, 2023. This event was organized under the JICA Hokkaido Funded Technical Cooperation Project, coordinated by Hokkaido International Exchange and Cooperation Center (HIECC) and Sapporo Water Works Bureau. Total of 212 grown up trees namely Gingko Biloba(Maidenhair), Himalayan Cherry, Ashoka, Juniper Indica(Dhupi), Bottle Brush(Kalki), Jacaranda, rose apple(Gulab Jamun), Ficus Bengamina(Pipal), Ficus Bengalensis (Bar) and Cinnamomum Camphora(Kapur) were planted in the program. The officials from Nepal Water Supply Corporation, Hazama Ando Cooperation, Yachiyo Engineering Co. Ltd and Love Green Nepal’s Executive Members and Staff, Ward Chairperson, Local Women Groups celebrated the special day with focus on beating plastic pollution.
