The Project for the Construction of a Girls Hostel for Shree Kali Devi Secondary School in Lalitpur District – (कालीदेवी माध्यमिक विद्यालय छात्रावास भवन निर्माण परियोजना)

To create a conducive learning environment for girl students at Shree Kali Devi   Secondary School, ultimately contributing to their educational empowerment, social development, and future opportunities.

• The successful completion of the hostel construction will ensure secured shelter and accommodation for the village girls belonging to indigenous caste who come to school from a long distant location in ward no. 2, Malta of Bagmati Municipality and neighboring Vhimphedi Rural Municipality.
• It will provide them an opportunity to complete education upto secondary level without any physical and psychological hindrance which has been there for a long time. This situation has been the factor behind dropping out of the girl students from the school in the past.
• Enhanced security and accommodation facility will encourage the girl students to pursue and complete secondary level education in Kali Devi Secondary School.
• Finally, cumulative effect of the proposed project will result in increased literacy rate and enhanced educational status of Bagmati Rural Municipality.

Project Activities:

• Signing of tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between municipality, school and Love Green Nepal.
• Construction of a girl’s hostel in Kali Devi Secondary School. The total area 2892.07 Ft².
• Electrification in the building
• Provision of necessary furniture & fixtures like cup board, bed sets, carpeting, curtains etc.
• Complete finishing with internal and external painting.
• Supervision of the local government during the construction period.
• Conduct the social audit
• Handover of the newly constructed Hostel Building to the School Management Committee.
• Evaluation of the project activities by SWC.
